Easter 2011

What a beautiful weekend for Easter! The weather was wonderful! We had a few Easter get togethers with family and they boys had a lot of fun!.

It has been a while since I posted last!! We have a lot going on...getting ready for Spring. We have a greenhouse full of flowers and starting to get our first vegetables planted and seeded. Scott is building some garden furniture pieces and Im finishing up some crochet hat orders along with our day to day busy lives.

The boys are looking forward to going to the Easter Egg hunt this weekend at the park in town..just hoping the weather is decent! I'm ready for that 70 degree weather again!!
The following pictures are the boys coloring pictures for the coloring contest in town and their new hair cuts. Their hair was getting pretty long! Ty's we usually buzz so I thought lets see what Lane's looks like buzzed. Pretty darn cute!!!

Good days!

I'm not very good at picking my titles for each entry haha! Anyway....We have been keeping busy.
Today Lane had a check up at Riley, so Mom, Lane, and I headed down this morning and went to his appointment. He's doing well and we go back in 3 months for another follow up. They adjust his medicine with his growth. He was such a good boy today. He wanted to hold my hand and my mom's hand while we were walking today. It was so cute, so we walked 3 across all holding hands. He sure did not want to take his clothes off when it was time to get weighed and measured. Every dr appointment, he does this. Its weird how they remember. It isnt even anything bad...maybe kids remember that they threw a fit the previous time so they think that what they are supposed to do this time too. Regardless, he was great all day. On our way back from Indy, we stopped at JoAnn Fabrics...and well I could have stayed for hours!!
The boys have been sleeping in the same room. One night I let Lane fall asleep with Ty in his bed and since then, Ty has been sleeping on the daybed in Lane's room. Lane still in his crib. When we take them to bed they talk to each other for a while until they fall asleep. It is cute the conversations they have.
Its hard to believe that next week will be the middle of March already!! Im so ready for Spring. To work and play outside.

Its Monday Already....

I was not ready to go back to work this morning. We had such a nice weekend, I didn't want it to end!! It was a weekend with no plans to go anywhere. So we just worked around the house. Scott needed more Styrofoam for potting area on our greenhouse, so we decided to make a trip to Richard's and Bailey's in Todo. It is fun to go every now and then and see what they have. We left with some good finds. While we were out we decided to go to Valpo to super Walmart for groceries.

Sunday afternoon we worked in the greenhouse. We planted more seed and transplanted flower plugs that we had gotten in. Its 70 degrees in the area they are growing!! The boys had so much fun out in the greenhouse with us! I wish I would have take pictures!! I gave them some soil to and a tray and some pots and they had a ball moving the soil around!! We also went over to Grandma Chris' because she had some goodies for the boys from their trip to Florida.

Growing up, my parents would mark Adam's and my height on the board by the tack room in the horse barn. Mom would put our names and the date by our line. She kept track for several years. I cant remember when she started but I'm sure it was when we first started riding horses. I should go put an updated mark for myself on that board now...I'm sure it hasn't changed one bit from the last time haha! Well I have always wanted to find a spot that will be around for years to start marking the boys' height and put the date. In the building Scott added to the greenhouse I found that spot and am looking forward to marking several times the heights of the boys and any future kids that we may have!!

Having a blog is completely new to me, but I though I would give it a try. I enjoy reading my friends blogs and thought it is a great way to keep people up to speed on our "whereabouts" in our lives. This will include things that are going on as a family, whats happening with our business, exciting things the boys are doing, to crafty projects that I am doing or furniture that Scott is building. I also started a Walker Farms blog around the same time here, so our "about me" section is some Walker Farms information, as I guess I cant have it different per page and with the same email. So here's to my first post!
